'Ray Donovan' Season 3 Spoilers, Plot News: Ray Ensures Verona's Election Win

It is finally the moment of truth for Verona (Skipp Sudduth) in the upcoming episode of the third season of Showtime's hit crime drama TV series "Ray Donovan" but the Governor shouldn't have to worry with Ray (Live Schrieber) on his side, ensuring his win.

The spoiler report from Carter Matt said that this Sunday's episode is Election Day in the series. This event will see the titular character getting deeper in the inner workings of politics as his cunning skills are tested to make sure that his candidate bags the position.

Once the issue is done, the publication said that Ray and Paige (Katie Holmes) will now be focusing on their plans involving the National Football League (NFL). Paige doesn't intend to back out until she has sealed the new deal for her football franchise.

The report from Venture Capital Post meanwhile said that the forthcoming segment titled "Swing Vote" will continue to dwell on Ray's working relationship with Paige's old man, Andrew (Ian McShane). If fans could remember, Paige tried to double cross her father and even involved Ray into the fray by asking him that he works for her full-time. VCR said that this episode could potentially see Ray finally considering her offer.

The episode's teaser promo further gave hints of intense moments between Abby (Paula Malcomson) and the Finneys. The video revealed that Abby will meet the father and daughter during Verona's big party. However, things won't go well for Ray's wife as she will be receiving a cold shoulder from Paige.

Find out more how these events unravel when "Ray Donovan" Season 3 airs this Sunday, Aug. 16, at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
