'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 7 News: Season Premiere Recap

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" kicked off its season 7 premiere last Sunday, and the episode features the growing rift between Apollo Nida and Phaedra Parks, a depressed Kenya Moore, and Kandi and Todd preparing for Todd's daughter to move in.

It's sentencing day for Apollo but Phaedra is nowhere to be found. It turns out that she took their kids to Augustus to her mother's place, and she tells her mother that she doesn't want her sons exposed to the drama and that the paparazzi are camped outside her home.

Back at Apollo and Phaedra's house, Apollo's brother shows up. Apollo admits that what he did was wrong, but is still angry that Phaedra abandoned him when he needed her.

Meanwhile, Kenya is depressed over being attacked at the "RHOA" reunion show. She feels that it was Porsha's fault that everyone ganged up on her. Kandi visits Porsha while she's doing a photoshoot, and says that perhaps Porsha and Kenya should talk about what happened at the reunion show. Porsha says that there is no way that she would do that.

Kandi and Todd are preparing for Todd's daughter to move in. While Kandi wants to go all-out and buy her a new car and redecorate the apartment, Todd feels that his daughter should get a job and drive a used car. Todd said that he doesn't believe in spoiling kids and pointed out that Kandi's daughter practically has her own wing of the house. Kandi admits that she has a tendency to overcompensate.

Later, Phaedra goes home and Apollo is livid. He feels that she set him up to fail by not letting him have control over the family finances, and she is furious that he ruined her reputation and now that he's going to prison, their children will be fatherless.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
