'Real Housewives of New Jersey' News: Joe Giudice Claims Exclusion From Prison's Alcohol Treatment Program; Season 8 Cast Members Want Danielle Staub Out

Joe Giudice, the husband of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice, claims that prison officials are excluding him from the facility's alcohol treatment program.

He revealed this in a court filing about two weeks ago, Fox News has reported. According to him, the Fort Dix authorities are using the detainer that was placed on him by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials as a reason to prevent him from joining the program.

Back in 2014, he pleaded guilty to being unable to pay almost $200,000 in income taxes. Following this, a judge recommended that he participate in the said treatment program after he and his wife were sentenced.

The 45-year-old reality star reportedly filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Bureau of Prisons for preventing him to enter the treatment program, which could have reduced his sentence by one year. However, the website for the Bureau of Prisons has already noted that inmates will not be able to join the said program if a detainer prevents it, making Joe's exclusion completely valid.

He is currently serving his sentence for bankruptcy fraud and is at risk of being deported back to Italy after the completion of his 41-month sentence, under federal immigration laws.

Teresa, on the other hand, completed her 15-month sentence back in 2015.

In other news, before "Real Housewives of New Jersey" season 8 lands on Bravo next month, there is already some drama going on with the cast.

TMZ reports a rumor that the cast members of the reality show allegedly want to exclude co-star Danielle Staub from the upcoming season over racist comments that she had made years ago.

According to the rumors, cast members are demanding for a meeting with the show's producers after a crew member brought up the topic of an audio recording of Danielle's fight with her former boyfriend in 2015, in which she was heard saying racist slurs.

At the time of the recording, she was no longer in "Real Housewives of New Jersey" since she left the show after its sophomore season. However, since she is now back for season 8, the controversy has resurfaced once more.

Fans are advised to wait for more updates to find out if there will be any changes made to the upcoming season.
