Rebecca St. James ends a Fruitful October

RSJ SELL-OUTS SEND MESSAGE: In a tour climate in the Christian industry that has recently faced major challenges, Rebecca's just completed "Let My Words Be Few Tour," was heralded by October sell-outs in major concert locations in Missouri, Ohio, Alabama and most recently her closing weekend in Temple, Texas. Musically supporting Rebecca's billing on the tour were fellow artists Down Here, Casting Crowns, and Charmaine. Sold-out concerts in Alabama in both the Montgomery and Huntsville markets were promoted heavily by WAY-FM, a powerhouse broadcaster of Christian music. Noted Matt Austin, Southeastern Regional Manager of the national radio network chain, "We were delighted to partner with Rebecca St. James on these two dates. She can always be counted on to deliver both great music and a great coming together of the Christian community in every market in which she performs."

REBECCA "NABS" INTEREST AT RADIO: Rebecca took time out from her October concert touring to fly to Philadelphia for a special "command performance" at the annual National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)-a conclave of the top national programmers in American radio-both Christian and mainstream. She came as the special guest of the Christian Music Broadcasters alliance. "Rebecca, in essence, 'put a face' on today's Contemporary Christian Music for the Christian and mainstream radio affiliates that were in attendance this year," noted Kat Davis, Sr. Manager of National Promotions for ForeFront Records.

"EXPRESSIONS" GOES TOP 20: October closed with Rebecca's current single-"Expressions" with Chris Tomlin cracking the Top 20 nationally. The single continues gaining major steam at national Christian radio.

"LIVE" OCTOBER RECORDING HERALDS NEW RSJ PROJECT: The "studio" came to Rebecca on the closing notes of her just completed tour. On October 26th her concert in Temple, Texas was set-up for live recording of RSJ performances that will be packaged for early release in '04. The as yet to be titled release will include a new song written by Rebecca, as well as her performances of "Here I Am To Worship," "Blessed Be Your Name," and live versions of material from her "Worship God" CD project. Jim Dineen engineered on the road. Stay tuned for release details!

OCTOBER CLOSES WITH "!HERO" ON THE HORIZON: In November, ForeFront artists REBECCA ST. JAMES, Michael Tait, and Mark Stuart of Audio Adrenaline will lend their names and their considerable artistic talents to a much anticipated touring rock opera musical-"!Hero"-a hip, cutting edge live 'in concert' presentation of the Gospel aimed at reaching the MTV generation with the story of Jesus Christ. Rebecca is outspoken in calling the project "culturally relevant for today." She said in a recent interview: "The significance was made dramatically real to me just recently. I was ministering at a youth conference where Mel Gibson was also making a guest appearance to share about his new movie, "The Passion." In the process of speaking, he told a story that touched me quite deeply-the story was about a nun who had recently previewed his film. So moved was she by the viewing of the movie that she prayed… 'Jesus, I'm sorry…I forgot.' It's my prayer that "!Hero" will have that same kind of profound impact in reminding all of us just what kind of sacrifice Jesus made for us," said Rebecca.
