'Red Dead Redemption 2' To Be a Prequel?

Rockstar Games may be giving gamers the silent treatment with regard to "Red Dead Redemption 2," but this does not stop new information about the highly anticipated sequel from coming to light.

Two more cast members for the game have recently been revealed. Actor Matt Bradford appears to be doing motion capture for a character in the game named Dutch.

This listing was quickly removed, but the discovery of eagle-eyed fans is enough to suggest that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be a prequel instead of a follow-up to the first game.

Fans who played the original "Red Dead Redemption" would know that Dutch is the name of the leader of protagonist John Marston's former gang.

Knowing the fate of the character in the first game, it is interesting to know that he is part of "Red Dead Redemption 2." His inclusion suggests that the title could be set before the events of the original.

Game Rant mentioned how actor Roger Clark also had a listing on his resume pertaining to his motion capture work for a then-untitled Rockstar Games offering, in which he is revealed to play the role of a German psychiatrist by the name of Menchen.

Fans went into detective mode to further discover that Clark resembles one of the characters featured in the first key arts released for "Red Dead Redemption 2."

An old YouTube page of the actor also showed, after a bit of fan sleuthing, that he recently liked a "Red Dead Redemption 2" fan rumor video.

Last but not the least, it is believed it was Clark's voice that guided fans through the announcement trailer released by Rockstar last year.

From the looks of it, Clark and Bradford are working together on the upcoming title. Game Rant notes that these two are also connected with actors Noshir Dalal and Cali Moore, who are also rumored to be part of the project.

Andre Da Silva is also believed to be taking part in "Red Dead Redemption 2" as it was discovered on his resume that he is doing mocap work for a Rockstar title that is "currently in production."

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is slated for release this fall. Rockstar is expected to reveal more details about the game in the coming weeks.
