'Red Dead Redemption' PC: Modders Are Bringing the Title to PC via 'GTA V'

Rockstar Games' "Red Dead Redemption" has been in the market for over six years now, and it continues to be one of the hot topics in the gaming community if they'll ever port it on PC. Fortunately, a group of people are making this possible, but not as the game itself.

A group of modders known as the "White Team" is bringing over the classic open-world western video game over to "Grand Theft Auto V," another masterpiece from the same developer. They've made the announcement over at GTA Forums, where they further teased a trailer is coming soon and will hold the first beta within summer.

To clarify, they mentioned that they aim to bring the full map and additional content over to "GTA V." While both "Red Dead Redemption" and "GTA V" are big when it comes to multiplayer games, the team explained that the said mod will only cater to single-player use, bringing over the story mode of the well-loved title.

Although this may not be an official release, this is considered the closest PC gamers can come to playing the game. Currently, the game is only available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (PS3) and has never been properly introduced to other ports since.

Given the fact that a lot of hype is also being invested onto the upcoming sequel, "Red Dead Redemption 2," a PC port is appearing to be very bleak. This is not to rule out the possibility, no matter how small, that a PC release may come, but it's just that all hands are occupied with working on its second installment.

For those who wish to play the game legitimately via PC though, one can do so via Sony's streaming service, PlayStation Now, which costs a monthly subscription in order to enjoy the title along with a huge library of games.
