'Reign' Season 2 Spoilers, Cast News: Mary Sent Out Her Help to the Endangered Conde

The drama is getting more intense in the hit historical fiction TV series "Reign" as it is set to return on air with its midseason premiere this year next week. Here's what we heard from spoiler reports.

The first half of the season left off with so much chaos. Francis (Toby Regbo) abdicated Narcisse (Craig Parker) and locked him up in the French castle. Lord Castelroy (Michael Therriault) had to flee to avoid the persecution on his radical religious views. A crazed Queen Catherine (Megan Follows) spoke with the ghost of her daughters and went out to poison Claude (Rose Williams).

As for Mary (Adelaide Kane), she finally discovered what Conde (Sean Teale) had felt for her. The bad news is, Conde's elder brother was also found out having some plans to usurp the throne.

However, the synopsis for the upcoming episode of "Reign" indicated that the revelation won't stop the two from seeing each other. In fact, Mary and Conde will be working together; this time to save the latter's neck from the Vatican.

"Mary (Adelaide Kane) takes action to save Condé (Sean Teale) when she learns the Vatican is hunting him for bearing the branded mark of the Dark Riders," the synopsis posted on The Futon Critic read.

Events turn out to be favorable for Conde as spoiler reports also indicated that Francis will get involved with the issue of the Dark Riders as he plans to "put an end to the Dark Riders legend."

However, the plan will also "put Bash (Torrance Coombs) at risk," TFC continued.

Meanwhile, Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) will reveal to Claude (Rose Williams) about Catherine's ulterior motives.

"Reign" Season 2 Episode 11 titled "Getaway" airs this Thursday, Jan. 22, at 9 p.m. on The CW.
