'Resident Evil 6' Production Update, News: Milla Jovovich to Begin Filming in August

It's been about five months since actress Milla Jovovich announced to the world that she's pregnant with her husband and franchise director, Paul W.S. Anderson, and that they have to delay the production for "Resident Evil 6" in Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa.

Recent news now indicated that the Resident Evil crew, including Jovovich herself, will now begin filming this August.

Just like what the 39-year-old "The Fifth Element" star did with the first announcement, Jovovich once again went to her social media to break the good news.

"I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming 'Resident Evil- The Final Chapter' in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new "easy mama access" costume;)) so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to "action hero" mode! " she wrote.

Other than the slated production date, no additional information was given by the "Joan of Arc" actress. However, it has already been reported that according to Anderson, "Resident Evil 6" will be the final installment in the long-running zombie-slaying movie series.

"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," should likely arrive in theaters by September 2016.
