'Resident Evil 7' DLC News Update: 'Banned Footage' Volumes 1 and 2 Now Available for Xbox and PCs
The once PlayStation 4 exclusive downloadable content expansions for survival-horror game "Resident Evil 7" are now made available for Xbox One and PC players.
PS4 owners are given the privilege to try the DLCs at least a month earlier. Now that the period has expired, Xbox One and PC players can now enjoy "Banned Footage" Volumes 1 and 2, sold at $10 and $15 respectively.
Volume 1 of "Banned Footage" is divided into a two-part scenario. The first part is known as "Bedroom," a nerve-wracking room-escape scenario with Marguerite Baker, according to Destructoid. The other mission is called "Nightmare" and features a new mode called "Ethan Must Die."

Volume 2, on the other hand, also features different scenarios. The first one is called "21," which is apparently a deadly game headed by Lucas Baker.
The second scenario under Volume 2 is called "Daughters," and it is described as a sort of a prequel to the Baker family's story. The scenario is played from Zoe Baker's perspective and it follows the family's final normal moments before becoming mindless monsters.
Volume 2 also has a new mode titled "Jack's 55th Birthday." Basically, the premise of this mode is to find food for Jack Baker around the mansion, while shooting up a few enemies here and there.
Both volumes are also available for players who purchased a Season Pass of the game for $30. A mysterious bonus episode is still coming, but Capcom did not announce what the additional content could entail just yet.
"Resident Evil 7" was first announced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo event in 2016 and was released in Jan. 2017 for Xbox One, PC and PS4. The game had since shipped over $3 million copies worldwide, with $2.5 million copies dispatched during its first week of release.
The game is currently ranked as the third-best debut in the history of the "Resident Evil" franchise, and has garnered generally favorable reviews, with an average of 85 over 100 rating according to Metacritic.
