Although "Resident Evil 7: Not A Hero" was originally slotted to make a release during the past spring, game director Koushi Nakanishi stated that they would have to push it back to make sure that the DLC will be on par with the original release in terms of quality.

Meanwhile, "Not A Hero" is not the only free expansion that will be released. It will be accompanied by "End of Zoe," which will explain whatever happened to Jack and Marguerite's daughter after what happened in the base game.

"Not A Hero" and "End of Zoe" marks the end of the season pass for "Resident Evil 7." Both of the free expansions are set to be released on Dec. 12. The developers also plan to release "Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition" on the same date.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is now out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for fans to experience while waiting.
