'Resident Evil Revelations' 2 Release Date, News: Complete Season Now Available for Pre-Orders

"Resident Evil Revelations 2," the upcoming survival horror video game by Capcom is scheduled to hit the shelves on Feb. 17, 2015 for PS3, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, according to a listing posted on Sony's Playstation Store.

In a report by IGN, it was indicated that the Complete Season of RER 2 is already available for pre-purchase. The full season includes four episodes plus bonus content upon release for $24.99 USD.

Players who opt to make their pre-orders are entitled to the RAID Mode Throwback Stage Pack. RAID Mode showcases a few memorable environments from the previous RE titles.

"The exclusive offer is currently only for the PS4, but is scheduled to be released on the PS3 soon," the tech site added on their report.

Meanwhile, Polygon indicated that Capcom plans to launch "Resident Evil Revelations 2" episodes on a weekly basis. The full season game will then be released at an unspecified date.

When asked about the Feb.17 release date posted on Sony's Playstation Store, Capcom said that date is "merely a placeholder" and insists on their previous "early 2015 release" statement.

"PSA: That release date you're seeing for Revelations 2 is just a placeholder! The true date is still unconfirmed," the Resident Evil Twitter account posted Wednesday.
