Richards Sisters Leaving 'Housewives?' Viewers Find Kim 'Boring'

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kim Richards may be let go at the end of season four as insiders claim Bravo TV producers are eager to replace her.

The veteran "housewife," 49, openly battled with addiction in season two and three, after her sister Kyle, 45, revealed her alcoholism, but she has since been able to make a sober recovery. Producers reportedly fear that her storyline is now lacking in interest and subsequently they are plotting to let her go after the season four reunion show taping.

"The network is not entirely happy with the ratings for the current season of Beverly Hills and sadly, despite being Paris Hilton's aunt, [Kim] has little going on in her life," a production source told RadarOnline.com. "Viewers don't care about watching Kim's dog getting training. It's boring!"

Kyle, who has been a strong source of support for Kim in recent years, is said to be furious over Bravo's alleged plans to fire the mother of four. While the two have often bickered in the past, they appear to be closer than ever this season and as a result Kyle is reportedly threatening to quit if her sister is fired.

"As you can imagine, Kyle is very unhappy about Bravo's plans. She has made no secret of that fact that she'll threaten to quit if her sister is fired," the insider revealed adding that the show is the "only steady income that Kim has and Kyle doesn't want to financially support her again."

Ratings are said to be on the decline and subsequently Bravo producers are eager to revamp the show. The season four premiere episode reportedly attracted 1,592,000 viewers compared to season two which debuted with 2,183,000 viewers, according to Nielsen.

"They could be looking for at least two new housewives for the next season. In any event, producers will be looking for ladies with over the top lifestyles, who bring the drama," the source said.

"The Brandi-Joyce feud is really the only storyline so far this season that the audience is engaging with," the source explained.

This is not the first time that Kyle, who also joined the show in season one, has reportedly considered quitting the hit reality TV show.

In May, reports claimed the boutique owner was left furious after her co-stars Brandi Glanville, Lisa Vanderpump and Yolanda Foster banded together while filming to confront Kyle over reports of an alleged extramarital affair involving her husband Mauricio Umansky and another woman.

"[Kyle was] so upset and disgusted after the confrontation, that she called producers of the show, and told them she wanted out," a source said at the time.
