Rick Ross Dead? 'Pray for Rick Ross' Trends on Twitter on Report of Rapper's Seizure

An outpouring of support on Twitter is being offered for rapper Rick Ross, who suffered a seizure early Friday morning on a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis. Sources have confirmed that Ross is alright.

"Rick Ross suffered a seizure and was unconscious going from Florida to Memphis, we hear he's 100% now but still, #PrayforRickRoss!" wrote GAFollowers.

According to TMZ.com, the 35-year-old rapper suddenly lost consciousness in the aircraft soon after take-off. His entourage immediately alerted flight personnel and a doctor on-board was able to administer CPR. The flight quickly made an emergency landing and Ross was rushed to the hospital for evaluation, even though by that time he was conscious and breathing, according the Associated Press.

Although the confirmation of Ross' seemingly healthy condition was released hours ago, fans are still taking to Twitter to offer their best wishes and prayers that his condition stays that way.

The hashtag "#PrayforRickRoss" has become the one of the most popular trends on Twitter, second only to #Footloose.

"We Can’t Lose a Living Legend, Hang in there King of Rap," wrote user Lorraine_Starr.

User E.D. commented, "My thoughts are with his fam…!"

However, although most have taken to the website to offer messages of encouragement and support, some are angered at the fact that the story is making headlines and so many people are giving Ross the attention that should be directed at more important issues.

"#prayforrickross is trending. Meanwhile 30,000 kids died in Somalia within the last 3 months...oh," wrote Bawse_Ten. Multiple users have re-tweeted the comment.

Rick Ross was scheduled to perform later in the day at the University of Memphis for the basketball team's midnight opening practice event. The Associated Press reported that Ross is not planning to cancel the performance.

As news broke of Ross' seizure, the rapper's entry on Wikipedia showed a death date of Oct. 14, 2011. It was later removed, however.
