Previously speaking to People magazine, Lake divulged that she was avoiding shopping for a wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials because of her weight before appearing on “Dancing with the Stars.”

“It’s not a bad way to get in shape for your wedding,” said Lake after having lost 12 inches just three weeks into the show.

Contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” and reality TV celebrity Rob Kardashian has also reportedly shed weight since appearing on this season of the show.

Kardashian’s dance partner, Cheryl Burk commented his changed appearance, telling People: “His whole physical appearance has changed,” said the dancer. “He’s using different muscles. He’s super sore all the time. I’m not sure if he’s changing his diet, but the cardio is really good.”

Burke divulged that she believes Kardashian lost the most weight while learning the jive in the first week of the television show, “because it’s so fast-paced.”

She added, of her partner’s dancing: “He’s a quick learner, he picked up the Foxtrot in on day. Now it’s a matter of making the quality of the dance good.”

Ahead of his elimination from ”DWTS” Tuesday, Chaz Bono also dropped weight in just one week by dancing with partner Lacey Schwimmer.

“He’s lost five pounds in six days. It’s so great. He says he’s not eating any differently, he’s just dancing,” said Schwimmer ahead of their first performance.

In “DWTS” of seasons past, stars like Kirstie Alley, Marie Osmond, and Jennie Garth have appeared on the show and shed extra pounds. Requiring physical strength and finesse, learning dance steps and routines cause major changes to the body.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. EST and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST.
