Rihanna and Chris Brown Had an Awkward Encounter at Charity Basketball Game

Exes Rihanna and Chris Brown haven't been seen in the same room since the two split for good in May 2013, but a charity basketball game last week brought the two together in a somewhat awkward encounter.

Brown was among the players for the Summer Classic Celebrity Basketball Tournament on Aug. 21 at Barclays Center in New York City. The game was sponsored by STK and all proceeds went to CC Sabathia's PitCCh In Foundation and Robinson Cano's RC22 Foundation, according to Hollywood Life.com.

It was reported that during the first quarter of the game, Rihanna walked into the Barclays Center with her security team and friends. The singer was dressed in very short shorts, a Run DMC sweatshirt, and heeled shoes. The announcer interrupted the game to announce the Barbadian beauty's arrival and everyone cheered. Brown, who was playing, didn't let his ex's arrival distract him, but focused on the game instead.

The two didn't interact during the game, and they seemed to avoid having eye contact with each other. Rihanna was seated at courtside, and even when Brown had the ball near her, they didn't glance at each other.

The lack of interaction between the two could quash any rumors that they could be getting back together. Brown recently reunited with Karrueche Tran, while Rihanna is reported to be rekindling her romance with Drake.

Brown and Rihanna split up in 2009 when Brown was charged of physically assaulting his girlfriend on the eve of the Grammy Awards. They got back together on Jan. 2013, which was followed by multiple breakups and reconciliations, and things ended for what seems to be the last time between them in May 2013.
