Chris Brown is reportedly glad that he ended his relationship with Karrueche Tran over Rihanna. New reports suggest that the Grammy award-winning singers are so happy together that a secret wedding would not come as a surprise to those close to them.
Brown, 23, recently confirmed that he and Tran, 24, broke up over his relationship with Rihanna, 24. Although neither singer has confirmed reports of reconciliation, their public displays of affection have now sparked dubious rumors of an elopement.
"No one close to them would be a bit shocked if they suddenly eloped. Rihanna has told her close friends point blank- 'I would marry Chris,'" a source reportedly told Star magazine.
"She even says she would have never left him if the media scrutiny didn't get so bad. They're passionate, and when they're drunk, they've both made many comments about getting married," the unnamed source went on.
On Sept. 6, Rihanna and Brown, who split in 2009 following a domestic violence incident, stunned their fans when they openly kissed at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards as Brown congratulated Rihanna on winning a VMA award.
Just days before Brown recently broke up with Tran, the singer was photographed with Rihanna enjoying Jay-Z's concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. A few days prior, the pair was reportedly spotted "kissing" in a New York nightclub.
"I still love him. We're very, very close friends. We built a trust again and that's it. We love each other and we probably always will," Rihanna told talk show host Oprah Winfrey in August.
"I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love and I see that he loved me the same way. We were very young and very spontaneous. We ran free. We ran wild. We were falling in love going in at a really rapid pace and we forgot about ourselves as individuals," she went on.
Brown released a public statement confirming his split from Tran on Oct. 4 just days after the second kissing incident with Rihanna. He cited the Bajan singer as the reason behind their break-up, and new reports suggest that he has no regrets about his decision.
"Chris couldn't be happier," a source reportedly told HollywoodLife.com. "He feels like he's been doing the right thing and making the right decisions."
