Rihanna Moves Ahead Of The Beatles' Billboard Hot 100 Record, Releases NSFW Music Video For 'Needed Me'

Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Rihanna has taken over The Beatles' record for the total number of weeks spent at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Sales of "Work," the lead single from Rihanna's most recent album "ANTI," have now pushed the single to its ninth week at the top of the chart. Overall, Rihanna's chart-topping songs (14 of them) have spent 60 weeks at number one. That means that the singer has now spent one more week at number one than The Beatles.

Nevertheless, Rihanna still has some catching up to do before she takes the top spot from powerhouse diva Mariah Carey, whose songs have spent a total of 79 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

Both Rihanna and Carey have had number one tracks that are collaborations with other artists.

"The Monster" (2013) and "Love The Way You Lie" (2010) were both performed by rapper Eminem, with Rihanna adding her vocals to the choruses. "The Monster" was the fourth single from Eminem's eighth studio album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." Together, the two Rihanna-assisted tracks spent 11 weeks at number one.

"Live Your Life," which was performed by rapper T.I., with Rihanna contributing as a guest vocalist, spent six weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 2008.

"One Sweet Day," Carey's popular collaboration with R&B group Boyz II Men, spent a total of 16 weeks at number one in 1995-96.

None of The Beatles' number one singles featured any other artists.

Meanwhile, Rihanna has just dropped the music video for "Needed Me," the third single from "ANTI." The Harmony Korine-directed video features a barely clothed Rihanna wearing nothing but a sheer robe and a lacy thong and sees the singer tracking down a man in a strip club and shooting him.
