Rihanna Talks Being In Trouble With Mother Over Nude Photos

Rihanna may be 25, but the Barbadian pop star admits that her mother can still chastise her for some of her behavior. She revealed her mother's method after some nude photographs popped up on Instagram.

The singer is the cover girl on Elle magazine's April 2013 issue, where she opens up about her mother's recent verbal lashing.

"I'm not afraid of any person in this world but her. I'm terrified of her," the singer admitted. "She called me two days ago and reeled me in about two naked pictures Melissa [her best friend] put up on Instagram – a sneak-peek from a photo book she's making about me."

The Barbadian singer opened up about her mother's reaction to the risque photographs.

"My mom, she went crazy on me. I was like embarrassed," Rihanna recalled to Elle. "I felt like I got my (expletive) whupped in front of my class in school! She said, 'This was like a private moment and you're just parading this around. She humbled the (expletive) out of me."

Rihanna admitted that she shares every aspect of her life on Instagram and explained her reasons for doing so.

"Well I instagram everything about my life, whether it's smoking pot, in a strip club, reading a Bible verse – how crazy, I know! – or hanging out with my best friend, who happens to be Chris," she told Elle U.K. "That's why I'm posting pictures of myself smoking pot, to tell the truth about myself. I've got so much to think about, why bring all this extra (expletive) by being dishonest?"

While Rihanna's mother Monica Braithwaite spoke about trusting her daughter's decisions, she also admitted to praying for her daughter in Rolling Stone magazine.

"I know her. I'm very proud of her," Braithwaite told Rolling Stone. "She has her head on straight. I have to let her make her decisions, and I can only sit back and hope and pray for the best."
