Rihanna Talks Illuminati After Photoshoot With Snakes

Rihanna, 25-year-old old Barbadian singer, pointed out comparisons to an alleged secret society that some have speculated about when posing with snakes for a recent photo shoot.

Rihanna appears as the cover girl for the December 2013 issue of British GQ magazine where she is dressed as the Greek mythological monster medusa. The pop star worked with artist Damien Hirst in a photoshoot where she appears nude, with fangs, reptilian eyes and snakes.

She introduced the spread on Twitter and Instagram while fueling speculation about her involvement in an alleged secret society that many have deemed the "Illuminati."

"Medusa head on me like I'm 'luminati," Rihanna exclaimed on Twitter. "She. x Damien Hirst ‪#GQ‬ ‪#25thAnniversary‬ ‪#COVER‬ ‪(SIC)."

GQ explained their decision to pair Rihanna with Hirst.

"Damien Hirst is one of the world's most highly acclaimed living artists. Rihanna is one of the world's most successful pop icons," the publication stated. "To celebrate GQ's 25th anniversary, these two creative firebrands embarked on an art project the like of which has never been seen before."

Despite her comments about her involvement in an occult society, Rihanna has previously given fans a glimpse of her spiritual beliefs by previously sharing biblical scriptures with an affinity for Christian author and speaker Joyce Meyer's teachings.

"Believing has a lot to do with obedience," the singer re-tweeted from Meyer last year. "If you really believe what God says, you'll do what He says."

The singer is an admitted fan of Meyer's, and even sent a message to the Christian speaker on Twitter last year.

"@JoyceMeyer you're awesome," Rihanna told the minister via Twitter.

Rihanna recently caused controversy when she decided to dress in her black catsuit and hijab like headscarf in the Middle Eastern city of Abu Dhabi and offended some by posing in an impromptu personal photoshoot in front of a Mosque.
