Rihanna to Perform at Grammys, Chris Brown Wants Duet? (VIDEO)

Rihanna has reportedly been confirmed to performed at the 55th annual Grammy Awards ceremony in coming weeks and her boyfriend, Chris Brown, is said to be insisting that they perform a duet.

The Bajan singer, 24, reportedly reconciled with Brown, 23, four years after their infamous 2009 domestic assault incident, and the couple has taken their relationship public in recent weeks. Brown is said to be intent on performing a duet with Rihanna as a gesture for fans to confirm that they are indeed back together, according to RadarOnline.com.

"Chris wants to perform with Rihanna at the Grammys to show the whole world they are back together. Chris doesn't care what the haters say, and wants to give the viewers an over the top performance with Rihanna," a source reportedly told Radar.

"He wants the fans to know this is the real deal, and he is a changed man," the source said. "If Rihanna can forgive him, the rest of the world should move on from what happened four years ago."

In 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge and accepted a plea deal which included community service, domestic violence counseling and probation. Photos of Rihanna's battered face went viral weeks after the incident and outraged fans began boycotting the "Turn Up The Music" singer's music.

While Brown reportedly believes that a duet could help to ease lingering tension amongst critics, producers of the Grammys are reportedly apprehensive and subsequently "haven't signed off on having Chris and Rihanna perform together," an insider revealed.

"It's an extremely delicate situation and there is concern about the backlash the performance could receive. But it could also be ratings gold," the source explained.

Brown admitted to ending his 2-year relationship with 24-year-old model Karrueche Tran over Rihanna in September, although the singer has reportedly still been involved with both women.

"When you share history with somebody then you tend to fall in love with somebody else ... it's kinda difficult you know what I'm saying?" Brown confessed in a personal video released in October. "Is there such a thing as loving two people? I don't know if that's possible but for me I just feel like that."

Also set to perform on Feb. 10 is Taylor Swift, The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons and rapper LL Cool J will host the event, according to E! news.
