Rise of the Tomb Raider Release Date News: Sequel to Feature Tombs, RPG Elements, Stealth and More!

A couple of years ago, developer Crystal Dynamics achieved a great feat when it recreated Lara Croft, and told her story from the very beginning. The game was released in all of the major platforms, including Mac, a few months later, and it became an instant hit.

Indeed, the game featured more elements other than the mind-boggling puzzles of the original series. It had more action, RPG elements, weapons, cut scenes, and a great storyline that brought a breath of fresh air in the franchise.

Last year, Microsoft announced that the game's sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be a timed-exclusive for the Xbox One, and it would launch in November this year. But as early as now, gamers and Lara Croft fans are already very excited to play.

In a gameplay video showcased during Gamescom 2015, Lara Croft goes to Syria, as a background to her journey in the Siberian mountains. In the live gameplay clip, it was evident that there will be interactive and action-packed scenes that will definitely bring players to the edge of their seats. Similar to the version that was released a couple of years ago, the game will feature breath-taking views of different places and settings.

Of course, there are some new foes, and for players who hated the wolves in the first game, Rise of the Tomb Raider has an even bigger and more dangerous enemy -- a grizzly bear.

In the gameplay, the weapon crafting and skill trees have been modified and made more complex. This enables players to actually plan what they want to craft and pick the skills they want to pursue.

In a report by PC Gamer, the showcase of the upcoming video game indicates that missions and goals can be achieved in a variety of ways. People can go rambo or they may do it using Lara's enhanced stealth skills.

Rise of the Tomb Raider becomes available for Xbox by November, while other game consoles, as well as the PC may get it by spring next year.
