The Brother of Kim Kardashian and new uncle to her new addition recently vocalized his support of his nephew's new name insisting that "it sounds cool."
Rob Kardashian recently stated that even with some of the negative publicity that has been associated with Kim and Kanye's new addition there is a lot of meaning associated with the child's name.
"When it comes to babies I like to give the person all their time with their significant other [to] let them enjoy their moment," Rob Kardashian told RyanSeacrest.com. "I'm happy the baby is healthy and my sister is healthy."
He also revealed that he had to settle some of their fears regarding the public's reaction to the new and unique baby name.
"I told Kim and Kanye this: I'm like, 'Yo, people are always going to talk whether it's good or bad. There's always going to be the haters, but do what you guys feel.' Like, you know everyone's going to say, 'Oh, you're coming up with some weird celebrity, crazy name.' You know how it is," he said.
"[But] North West, it sounds cool! [And] North is the highest point, so it has a lot of meaning to it."
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter's name is North West and the little girl, born five weeks early, is being called Nori for short.
Reports state that the "birth certificate is out," and that North has no middle name, making her name simply North West. But the family is reportedly calling her "Nori" as a nickname, Us Weekly reported.
Since giving birth on June 15, speculation has run rampant about the baby girl's name.
One prevalent report stated that her name was actually Kaidence Donda West, in honor of West's late mother, Dr. Donda West. However, that was proven false.
"They're not quite ready to announce the name yet," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly yesterday. "But the name definitely does not start with a K, despite all the rumors that have been out."
