Rob Morrison Tell All Book: 'I Did Not Choke My Wife,' Says Former CBS Anchor

Former CBS anchor Rob Morrison hopes to write a tell-all book after resigning from his post following domestic abuse charges.

In 2008 Morrison left WNBC and took up blogging for the Huffington Post. His blog, titled "Daddy Diaries," recounted what it was like to be a stay-at-home anchor. The project, however, was not a large success and Morrison was never paid for the gig.

When he obtained his new position at CBS, it was rumored that the blog could be picked up and turned into a television series. Now, that is exactly what Morrison is hoping for with his new book.

Morrison was paid $300,000 as a news anchor at CBS before he was accused of choking his wife, CBS MoneyWatch anchor Ashley Morrison, in February during a drunken rage.

"I can't go home tonight man, I'm f------ killing her!" Morrison, 44, told cops, according to a police report obtained by The New York Post. Ashley's brother, Dr. Gregory Risk, said Morrison had made threats to kill his wife and his son in the past.

"G. Risk stated that in the past R. Morrison commented to him that if A. Morrison leaves him he would shoot their son in front of her and then shoot her," police wrote in the report.

Morrison now hopes to set the record straight. He has denied choking his wife, although no official plea was set during his first court appearance on Feb. 20. Morrison will return to court on March 26.

"I did not choke my wife. I have never laid my hands on my wife," Morrison told a judge in February. "I was just as surprised by that particular charge as probably was everyone else whose heard about this story."

Ashley Morrison has meanwhile, remained in the couple's million-dollar Connecticut home and returned to her job at the network.

"The network is being very careful to reintroduce Ashley slowly," a source told the Daily News. "They think it's too soon to return her to everyone after what happened and Rob accused of choking her."
