Naturally, this caused a lot of fans of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart fans to take to Twitter to air out their displeasure on what was perceived as a pregnancy announcement, reports PerezHilton.com.

But the website reports that Barnett's tweet could be a song lyric, or perhaps the singer was inspired by a pregnant friend, thus prompting the controversial Twitter post.

Barnett, who was first reported to be dating Pattinson several weeks ago, is a recording artist whose debut album, LP1, was released this past August to rave reviews. She has also served as a back-up dancer for artists such as Kylie Minogue and Ed Sheeran.

The Twitter backlash from fans of Pattinson and his former girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, is still ongoing as their fans are still hoping for reconciliation between the two. After Stewart's cheating scandal which caused the demise of their relationship, many are still hoping that things could work out between them. Since then, they had a tumultuous on-off relationship, which appeared to have ended for good in 2013.

Barnett is the first girl that has been reported to be dating Pattinson ever since the actor split with Stewart. Meanwhile, Stewart is rumored to be dating her "Equals" co-star, Nicholas Hoult.
