Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will appear together for their first joint public appearance since their relationship was hit by an affair scandal. The newly back together couple will come together for their first public appearance on Oct. 28 in Los Angeles, according to Summit Pictures.

Rumors have been rife in recent days about the couple reconciling and getting back together, but the pair have chosen to keep things much more private than fans are used to seeing them.

They are known to have spent a lot of time together recently as they try to overcome Stewart's cheating scandal, but they have not yet attended any public events as a couple again. However, it is now believed that a series of high profile appearances will be just over two weeks away.

The couple split when photos were published in a celeb magazine showing Stewart cuddling and kissing her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders. Pattinson was said to be heart-broken over that incident and the pair briefly spent time apart as the British actor assessed where he wanted his future to lie.

However, over recent weeks the pair have reportedly made more efforts to speak out their differences and appear to be getting back together to give their relationship another chance.

Pattinson and Stewart are famed for starring as an onscreen couple in the hugely popular Twilight Saga films. The final installment of that movie series is due out later this year and promotions for the film are set to begin within weeks.

At one point following their split it was thought that the couple would not attend promotional events together for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2." However, they maintained they would maintain their professional responsibilities, and now that it appears they are getting back together it would seem certain they would attend promotional events together.

According to People magazine, Summit Pictures has confirmed that the pair will appear for a promotional event for the Twilight film in Los Angeles from Oct. 28. That promotional event is said to include other members of the cast, and will feature interviews and photo opportunities from Oct. 28 to Nov. 4.

It is believed that the couple will take to the red carpet together for the first time since their scandal on Nov. 12 when "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2" holds its worldwide premiere at the Nokia Theater at LA LIVE.
