'Rocket League' Halloween Event Now Live

It is Halloween on "Rocket League." The Haunted Hallows event is now live.

Psyonix shared that throughout the event candy corn will be an important, earnable, and time-limited currency. Players should be able to acquire them at the end of each online match. They then can use their candy corn to purchase new items.

The candy corn currency can be used to acquire limited edition Halloween items. With it, gamers will be able to buy a decryptor, which they can use to open any crate of their choosing. At the same time, they can also use it to purchase locked Haunted Hallows crates. To do this, gamers should access the Special Event button located on the main.

It is to be noted that crates are drop items which appear at the end of online games. But gamers can always opt to purchase event crates directly, in the same manner as buying keys. Purchased crates will not require a decryptor or a key to be unlocked. Additionally, these purchased crates cannot be traded, but its items can be after the seven-day trade hold window.

Items that are acquired by opening creates using a decryptor will not be tradeable. But if normal keys are used, the items can be traded.

Event crates will contain the exact same items even if gamers choose to unlock them after the event.

The candy corn currency can be spent throughout the duration of the Halloween special. It will expire a week after the event. The items purchased using the currency, however, will not. It should remain in users' inventories for as long as they want.

The Haunted Hallows Event went live on Monday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. ET and should last until Monday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. ET.
