Rockets Forward Terrence Jones Accused of Stomping on Leg of Homeless Man Outside Nightclub
Houston Rockets forward Terrence Jones is making headlines for all the wrong reasons after an ugly run in with a homeless man that lead to his arrest.
The 2012/13 rookie was leaving a night club, Tube, in Portland on Wednesday morning when a police officer saw him shouting at a homeless before stopping to kick him in the leg.
"[Officer saw Jones] walk by a doorway where two homeless men were sleeping, according to police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson. The sergeant said Jones yelled, 'Wake up,' then raised his leg and stomped down on one of the man's legs. The men were sleeping in the doorway of 114 Northwest 3rd Avenue," reported KATU a radio station repeating what the officer's report said.

Police officer Anthony Passadore then told Howard along with the people he was with to stop leaving the area and return to the sidewalk. The victim was 46-year-old Daniel John Kellerher, who received a minor leg injury but nothing serious the report concluded.
According to The Daily News, the 21-year-old is due in court next Tuesday and was charged with harassment, a Class B misdemeanor.
Jones is part of the Rockets future after spending most of last year in the development league. This year he is supposed to compete with the other forwards for a spot to play power forward under Dwight Howard, who be at the center position.
The 1st round draft pick played in just 19 games, and averaged 5.5 points per game to go along with 1 block and 3.4 rebounds a game.
