Stewart and his model wife began dating in 1999 and married in 2007 at La Cervara, a cloistered medieval monastery in Portofino, Italy. Lancaster is Stewart's third wife, and the couple share two children together- Alastair and Aiden.

"I asked her for a photo of herself in a frame so that I could see her when I went to bed and when I woke up," the singer added, explaining the track that will be found on his upcoming new album.

Despite his clear adoration for Lancaster today, Stewart was quoted speaking negatively about marriage while referring to his two divorces in the past.

"Instead of getting married again, I'm going to find a woman I don't like and just give her a house," said the singer, according to The Sunday Star Times.

However, Stewart said that today he knows how to make a marriage work.

"I have taken a lot of risks when it comes to relationships but I have never gambled or smoked- women don't like that," said the "Forever Young" singer, according to Life magazine.

"You have to take the good with the bad, and women prefer you when you're truthful," Stewart imparted. "My relationship rule is, 'Don't argue after a glass of wine- leave debating until the morning.'"

Meanwhile, Stewart has a total of eight children with five different women. The singer was well known for his numerous romantic entanglements in the past.

"I have always loved women," Stewart admitted of his storied past with romance. "Won some, lost some, but it's not about the magic touch, it's about being a better person and a better listener."
