Ronda Rousey is the perfect Ms. Marvel

During a conversation on Reddit, Rousey revealed she would love to play the heroine.

Ronda Rousey's popularity extends far from the UFC Octagon.

As the defending bantamweight champion in the women's division, she also holds the distinction as the only woman to ever hold that title.

She sports a 12-0 record and her most recent win over Brazilian Bethe Correia further shows how big of a gap she has with the rest of the women in the division.

As a result, she has become the face of women's MMA and is now arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet.

Also highly regarded as a Hollywood star, "Rowdy" has already featured in movies like "The Expendables 3" and "Furious 7" and has also appeared on the World Wrestling Entertainment alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

And most recently, as Rousey spoke at a Reddit "Ask-Me-Anything" event last week, she openly revealed that she was very interested in joining the famed Marvel Universe.

When a user asked her who she would portray if she was to play a hero in a superhero movie, the 28-year-old replied: "Well... a lot of the good ones have been taken, but I'd like to vie for Miss Marvel."

As a result, fans have flocked her social media with images of what she would look like as the strong-willed heroine – with Rousey posting a few of her favourites.

Now, things are starting to pick up steam even more, with director and "Comic Book Men" co-star Kevin Smith chiming in on how he thinks Rousey will fit in the role.

When asked by TMZ, Smith revealed that the pairing fits perfectly.

He went on to say: "You see her in that picture? Come on. You don't even need to think at this point, there's an image."

He adds, "Lord knows she's one of the only people who would play a superhero that could actually beat the s--t out of somebody."

Smith is also known for writing a script for "Superman Lives" in the 90s.
