Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm Fight News: Holm says it felt 'satisfying' to punch Rousey, UFC commentator says Rousey 'did not do her homework'

Holly Holm has one word to describe her Saturday night fight against former UFC women's bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey.

In a report by MMA Fighting, the newly crowned champion says it felt "satisfying" to be able to punch Ronda Rousey in the face.

"I'm not going to say I don't love to punch people in the face," Holm clarified during an ESPN Radio Interview. "But that's just part of the sport. Every time I land a punch, it's satisfying because I know I just scored. I know I'm on top."

"It's like a chess match, I know that I landed a good one," she continued. "It's not like, 'Oh I hurt someone.' It's like an instant gratification of a bit of an accomplishment. It's hard to explain."

The UFC has yet to release their concrete plans about a rematch between Holm and Rousey. But for the champion, it is definitely the right way to go.

"If you're a real champion, you're gonna do that," Holm said. "You're gonna give them the rematch. Of course I'm gonna train even harder and better for the next fight, because I know she'll come back swinging."

Meanwhile, former UFC title contender and current broadcast panelist Kenny Florian also weighed-in on this past weekend's fights. "KenFLo" believes the error on Rousey's part was mainly because of their camp's lack of preparation.

"Rousey didn't prepare properly for a southpaw," the Ultimate Fighter Season 1 alum explained. "I don't know if it was lack of execution. I don't know if it was her coaching not bringing her up to speed. I wouldn't believe that."

"I would assume Edmund would prepare her for such an opponent," Florian continued. "The way she went out there, it seemed like she really didn't know what to do against a southpaw. It looked like she just didn't do her homework."
