Rupert Sanders is said to regret his affair with actress Kristen Stewart, and he is reportedly scrambling to salvage his marriage to Liberty Ross.

The father of two is now referring to Stewart as "the worst mistake of my life" and is desperate to salvage his marriage, according to new reports.
"Liberty is not making this easy for Rupert, not surprisingly. She is refusing to see him right now and has not spoken to him about if they have a future together or not," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
"Rupert is willing to do absolutely anything and everything he can to save his marriage, he realizes this is the worst mistake of his life, and he cannot believe he was so stupid," the source went on adding "the thought of losing his wife and children, who he loves more than anything in the world is killing him."
The report follows speculation that Stewart, Pattinson's girlfriend of three years, reportedly fears that she may be pregnant with her first child.
"Kris is sick with worry because she missed her period," a friend of Stewart's allegedly told Star Magazine, adding that she is now "alone and facing single motherhood."
"Right now, she'd give anything to carry Rob's baby … but Kristen can't be sure if it's Rob's or Rupert's," the source claimed, adding that "she's praying like crazy that it's a false alarm."
Sanders, who directed Stewart's latest film "Snow White and the Huntsman," appeared to be in good spirits when he emerged after the scandal broke in Los Angeles still wearing his wedding ring on July 30.
Although previous reports stated that Ross, Sanders' wife of 10 years, had agreed to give him a second chance, new reports suggest that she is still battling trust issues and even considering divorce.
"Liberty has told Rupert she just doesn't think she will be able to trust him again. This affair went on right under her nose and she feels like he has made her look like a fool," the source said.
"Rupert is just hoping it will blow over soon and he can win her back, but that is looking ever increasingly unlikely," the source added.
