Russell Brand and Isabella Brewster: Confirmed Dating

Several recent reports this week have confirmed that Russell Brand is dating actress Jordana Brewster's younger sister Isabella.

The British comic, 37, was photographed with Brewster just days after his divorce from Katy Perry became official on Monday, but sources say they began dating a while ago.

"It's been going on for a few weeks," said an insider, according to Us Weekly. "He really likes her."

Brewster, who bears a slight resemblance to Perry, was formerly linked to actor Bradley Cooper.

"She's cute," explained the source. "She is all over him and Russell loves it."

Alternately, Perry was photographed kissing Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd while attending Coachella Music Festival in April. The singer is resistant to call the British musician her boyfriend, though.

"That's not even appropriate to label," Perry said speaking to USA Today recently. "There are times I go out and meet people and flirt, but it's not really appropriate to have anything serious."

According to sources close to Brand and his ex-wife Perry, the comedian wanted a divorce because of the desire to start a family, while Perry was not yet ready.

"[Russell] feels there's no point in being married if you don't have kids," said the insider, who added that the actor was "ready to move on."

Although he was entitled to half of Perry's earnings since they did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, Brand requested no money from his former wife, and reportedly gave her rights to the $6.5 million home they bought while married.

In May, Brand appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show where he revealed his remaining fondness for the "California Gurlz" singer.

"I still love her as a human being," said the "Get Him to the Greek" star. "But, sometime when you're in a relationship I suppose it doesn't work out, does it? But that doesn't mean I regret it or anything."
