Drudge Report News: Russia Mocks Michael Brown and Ferguson, Missouri Controversy
A Russian article has mocked the United States over the Michael Brown controversy.
The article cited by Drudge Report is from the website RIA Novosti entitled "US Should Pay More Attention to International Race-Related Issues – Russian Diplomat."
The diplomat mentioned is Russian Foreign Ministry Human Rights Commissioner Konstantin Dolgov.

"We think US authorities should pay closer attention to burning internal problems, including those related to ethnicity and race that still exist in the United States. Try to solve them via legal constitutional practices rather than unjustified and inadequate violence," Dolgov told a Russian news channel.
"What is happening in Missouri right now should have a sobering effect on US society and authorities. They are systematic problems. They are by no means limited to one particular city or state," he added.
The incident he was talking about was related to that of Michael Brown, an African-American 18-year-old teenager who was killed by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri on Aug. 9. It set off violent protests not only within the locale but also to more than 90 metropolitan cities across the country.
The demonstrations, which the commissioner outwardly criticized in the discussion, involved brutal confrontations from the police and the protesters. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency followed by a curfew.
As Dolgov stated, the U.S. government might face more of these kind of "race-related conflicts" if the authorities would continue to rely on heavy police force to quell such incidents.
