During the series premiere, Lochte was seen spending time with his family where he recounted earning his first gold medal. The athlete tearfully noted his gratitude and appreciation for family in a rare display of emotion.

In a less flattering scene for the swimmer, Lochte inarticulately explained his interest in fashion and describeed the shoes he designed.

"These are the shoes I designed, from the top to the very sole, to the very top, to the bottom, [expletive] laces," said the superstar swimmer.

Additionally, the first episode of "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" featured the swimmer nonchalantly entertaining a group of women at a bar.

"I'm not your average Olympian," Lochte declared while on the "Today" show Monday. "You know when you think about Olympians, you think about [what] they eat, they train, they sleep. That's it."

Sharing more about him with viewers, Lochte explained that there is more to his personality than just swimming.

"For me that's not the case at all," he continued. "I like doing other stuff. I like going out and having a good time. I like doing stuff I could probably get myself hurt in, like playing basketball, skateboarding, surfing, you name it- I'm doing it."

"What Would Ryan Do?" also delves into the swimmer's love life.

"You'll see me going on dates," said the 28-year-old athlete of the show, according to People.com.

"You'll see me meet a couple girls at a bar," continued Lochte. "It's just me, hanging out with my mom, and girls come up. One of the girls who I took on a date is a good friend of mine, and we went zip-lining and rock climbing."

As for his love life, Lochte has admitted that he is "still trying to find that one" special person.

"What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" airs Sundays on E! at 10 p.m. EST. Watch a trailer for the show here.

Meanwhile, Lochte's many fans and critics alike have voiced reaction to the television series.

Cosmopolitan magazine deemed Lochte the "hottest, most clueless guy on TV right now," while Twitter user Brittney wrote, "My IQ just dropped 20 points after watching Ryan Lochte's new show."
