Ryan Lochte on '90210': Olympic Swimmer's First Cameo on TV

Ryan Lochte's "90210" guest appearance was revealed, and the Olympic gold medalist will have a cameo on the CW program playing himself.

Ryan Lochte will guest star on an October episode of "90210," according to CBS Television Studios Tuesday. Lochte had previously expressed his desire to put his newfound celebrity to good use and moved to Los Angeles. Now, the 11-time Olympic medalist will finally get his first chance in an episode airing Oct. 29.

The 28-year-old Lochte's cameo involves him popping up at a resort where Naomi Clark (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max Miller (Josh Zuckerman) are attempting to reconcile and keep their relationship afloat. Unfortunately, those that tune in won't get to see Lochte in the water, but some feel he "deserves a little rest" after winning five medals in London.

"When we found out Ryan Lochte was going to be in town and might appear on 90210, we felt like we'd won a gold medal!" executive producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen explained in a joint statement. "Team USA are all-stars in our book, and we're so excited he's making an appearance on the show. We only wish the episode was a surf event so we could have gotten him in the water, but he deserves a little rest on dry land."

While "90210" will be a brand new experience for the swimmer, it certainly isn't the only entertainment opportunity Lochte is looking for. When he went on the "Today" show, he revealed that he wouldn't mind getting involved in reality TV.

"I'm definitely looking towards 'Dancing With the Stars' and 'The Bachelor,' so we'll see what happens," he said.

He also apparently doesn't mind making fun of himself on the internet, either. Lochte appeared alongside Sir Patrick Stewart of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and Simon Pegg of "Shaun of the Dead" in a Funny or Die wed video recently.
