Ryan Reynolds has debuted his tougher side while filming his latest movie "Queen of the Night" this week.

The 36-year-old actor was spotted in Sudbury, Canada on Tuesday filming a scene for the forthcoming thriller in which he was punching his co-star, Scott Speedman, according to People magazine.

Captured by paparazzi, Reynolds is seen wearing jeans paired with a flannel shirt and a vest while executing what appears to be a powerful blow to Speedman, who seems to be falling backwards.

The image taken from filming Tuesday resonated with fans on Twitter.

Elle posted, "Ryan Reynolds is still smokin hot even mid-punch!"

Reynolds, who has a strong fan following, is best known for his roles on films such as "National Lampoon's Van Wilder," "Waiting," and "The Proposal," among many others. The Canadian actor recently tied the knot with "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively during a quiet ceremony in September.

Alternately, Speedman is well known for his role in 2012's film "The Vow" as well as the television series "Felicity."

"Queen of the Night" also sees Rosario Dawson and Bruce Greenwood. The Atom Egoyan-directed film is due in theaters sometime next year.

Meanwhile, Reynolds and his new wife recently purchased a home in Bedford, Conn., but the actor remains on set in Canada where Lively visits him frequently.

Last week, the 25-year-old was spotted on a date to the movies with Reynolds in Sadbury.

Despite their nuptials coming as a surprise to the public, Reynolds and Lively had been dating since Oct. 2011. Shortly after their wedding in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, details of the ceremony were released to the media. For example, the venue for the ceremony was the historic Boone Hall Plantation, the very home featured in the romantic favorite film "The Notebook."

Furthermore, one insider offered that the bride "looked very natural" on the big day, according to People magazine.

"Her hair was mostly down, but some of it was swept up," said an onlooker speaking to the magazine. "She didn't wear a veil. She wore natural make up; her skin was flawless. It was a clean look, very fresh."

Also, Lively selected a custom Marchesa ball gown for her nuptials that featured embroidered silk tulle.

"Her dress was simple yet beautiful, slightly off-white, no big bows, no train," the insider added.
