Europe will be looking to defend their Ryder Cup title, but will be up against it with a hostile United States crowd expected to put extra pressure on the European players, and offer Team USA huge support at the same time.

1) Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell vs. Jim Furyk and Brandt Snedeker: 8:20 a.m.

2) Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia vs. Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley: 8:35 a.m.

3) Lee Westwood and Francesco Molinari vs. Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson: 8:50 a.m.

4) Ian Poulter and Justin Rose vs. Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods: 9:05 a.m.

Following those match ups, the Four Ball matches are scheduled to commence at 12:05 p.m.

The United States' squad is being captained by Davis Love III, who has decided to try and finish powerfully with Woods and Stricker being the last U.S. pairing in the alternate shot match ups.

But European captain José MariaOlazábal has also chosen to do the same and will be expecting Poulter and Rose to give Woods and Stricker a tough time.

One tough decision the U.S. captain has had to make is leaving out Bubba Watson from the opening round. Watson is seen as one of the world's best but such is the strength of the United States squad this year that he has been left out of the opening exchanges.
