Samsung recently made a statement to the International Business Times confirming that it would be releasing a 32GB version of the Galaxy Nexus.
"Samsung can confirm the Galaxy Nexus 32GB is expected and will be taken through the distribution channels," said a Samsung representative to the U.K. section of the publication.
Earlier this week, it had been reported that Samsung might cancel its plans to release the 32GB version of the flagship Ice Cream Sandwich device.
"We've just been notified this morning that Samsung has dropped the Galaxy Nexus 32GB from production," said an Expansys U.S.A. employee on the XDA developers blog earlier this week.
Apparently that report was incorrect, according to the Korean electronics giant.
The current version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus comes with 16GB of memory. This new version will probably launch in order to compete with the 32GB version of the iPhone.

Apple's smartphone features three different memory capacities including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
Once the 32GB version launches, there is a chance that 64GB model could be next.
Samsung seems to be setting up the Galaxy Nexus for direct competition with the iPhone 4S even though the company normally pits the Galaxy S2 against Apple's device.
The Galaxy Nexus launched back in Nov. and is the first device on the market to run on Google's Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
The current version features a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, a 1280x720 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display running a 720p resolution and a 5-megapixel camera capable of filming in 1080p HD.
It launched overseas before coming to the U.S. a Verizon exclusive and is expected to become available on Sprint sometime in the near future.
The carrier has already created advertising for the Galaxy Nexus. The 32GB could possibly land on more carriers.
