Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Specs, News: New Phablet Flagship to Hit Shelves in October?

The newest Samsung Galaxy Note 4 finally took the stage when it was unveiled during the IFA Consumer Electronics event held in Berlin. Though much of the needed details have already been known about the new phablet, there are still questions left unanswered, particularly when the release date will arrive.

Although the South Korean tech giant confirmed that the device will be hitting the U.K. in October, they didn't reveal the dates to when it will arrive in the international retailer's shelves like in the U.S. and other regions. While Samsung still remains silent about Galaxy Note 4's release date, many are comparing its specs with other phablets out there.

Reviewers and critics who were present in the gathering saw the Galaxy Note 4 unveiled to have a 2560 x 1440 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display panel allowing it to give off "insanely rich and content exquisitely detailed" images.

Aside from the visuals and display, the new Note 4 is also a beast when it comes to power. It is said to feature the latest 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. Its memory is noteworthy, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also has a port for microSD.

Galaxy Note 4's battery could also keep up with the impressive processing speed. With 3200mAH Lithium-Ion battery, the device could last to run through a full day on a regular use.

Note 4's camera also caught attention. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 3.7-megapixel front snapper. But that's not all. The primary camera is enhanced with optical image stabilization (OIS) while the front snapper features a new wide-angle lens – ideal not only for selfies but also for groupies.

The Galaxy Note 4 comes in a premium, metallic frame with colors black, white, gold, and "blossom pink," and measuring 8.5 mm thick with a metal edge.
