Galaxy Note 4 vs LG G3 Comparison: Specs Review - Which Phablet is Best?
LG's release of the G3 June earlier this year put a heavy strain on its competitors as the LG flagship smartphone featured impressive specs as well as the QHD display. Samsung is looking to balance the shift in power with two of its upcoming releases, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy Note 4.
The Note 4 will be pit against the G3. While the Galaxy Note 4 is still not released, the speculated hardware it will sport may just be enough to make a comparison with the LG flagship.
First, the display. The LG G3 sports a True HD-IPS + LCD touchscreen measuring 5.5-inches. One of the main things that made the G3 ahead of its competition however, is its 2560 x 1440 resolution QHD display. Other smartphones in the market have only released displays that had 1920 x 1080 resolution Full HD screens.

The Galaxy Note 4 is looking to match that resolution with its own Super AMOLED 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution QHD display. With this, it puts it on par with the G3. The bigger screen would put the pixel density of the Note 4 at a lower ratio than the G3 but this is a negligible setback.
As for what powers the two devices, the G3 is run by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU. It has a 16GB variant running 2GB of RAM and a 32GB variant running 3GB of RAM.
The Note 4, on the other hand, is speculated to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core 2.7GHz processor and an Adreno 420 GPU. So far only a 32GB variant running 3GB of RAM is set for the Note 4.
The G3 has a 13-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and optical image stabilizer. The Note 4 has a 16-megapixel camera with a single LED flash with similar stabilizer capabilities.
The G3 currently retails at around $750. The price for the Note 4 is still unknown but there are speculations that it will be even more expensive than the Galaxy S5.
