Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Features 4K Display, 6-Inch Screen, 4GB RAM

It is only more than five months since the latest Galaxy Note has been announced, but as early as now there are already rumors about Samsung's Galaxy Note 5.

The latest rumors from Trusted Reviews claim that the new Android-powered smartphone will feature probably the highest resolution in a Samsung handset at 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution.

In addition, the rumor mill has pointed to a Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm. However, considering recent reports about the upcoming Galaxy S6, the Korean brand might not go for a Snapdragon for the phablet.

Recent news claim that Samsung is afraid of overheating issues of the Snapdragon 810 for its Galaxy S6. As a result, the company would reportedly use its own Exynos 7420 chipset.

Aside from the 4K screen and lightning-fast processor, the Galaxy Note 5 is also expected to come with 4GB of RAM, which could be another first for Samsung.

To make things even more interesting, a report from PC Advisor UK points to a 6-inch display, which is bigger than the current 5.7-inch screen of the Galaxy Note 4.

Other alleged specs of the Galaxy Note 5 include a curved metal body, a 20MP primary camera and a 5MP front shooter.

However, for the rumored specs of Samsung's soon-to-be-announced device, PC Advisor expects the pricing to adjust accordingly.

In the report, if the Korean manufacturer will stick to its previous pricing system, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 could be priced in the middle of £550 and £599 inclusive of VAT.

So far, that's everything the rumor mill has to offer about the Galaxy Note 5. Meanwhile, the world is already anxious for the announcement of the newest member of the Galaxy S family – the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Aside from the Galaxy S6, reports claim that the Galaxy S Edge will also make its debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on March 1.
