Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Specs Rumors: Next-Gen Phablet to Arrive With 4GB of RAM

Samsung is expected to unveil its next-gen handsets at the IFA 2015 this September. But the rumors surrounding its upcoming devices are getting more and more widespread as the days edges forward to the occasion.

Last week, it was heard that the Galaxy Note 5 might launch in mid-August. The reason behind such decision is to give Samsung more time to build up the hype for the handset and consequently avoid getting overshadowed with Apple's launching event.

Earlier this week, a FAQ page from Samsung's official website was also seen dropping some hints on the camera specs of the device. It is said (via GSM Arena) that the forthcoming phablet will borrow the front camera from its mainstream sisters, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, which is 5MP.

And just recently, it was found out that the Note 4 successor is "confirmed" to pump up its RAM size to 4GB. Same as what has been announced for OnePlus' OnePlus 2, Samsung's smartphone will also have the LPDDR4-type RAM.

Further "confirmed" by people who are in the loop of the issue is the fact that the device, which goes by the codename of "Project Noble," will house an Exynos 7422 processor. Touted as the company's first "true single-chip solution," the chipset will see the integration of a 64-bit octa core CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, as well as the homegrown Shannon 333 LTE modem.

As with its display, it is known by insiders that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED QHD touchscreen. It is expected to arrive with an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS installed out-of-the-box.
