Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Review: On the Bezel-less Design that Beat Apple to the Punch and the S Pen

As one of the most highly anticipated smartphones in the market, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 faced a lot of pressure since its predecessor disappointed fans when they found out that it had the tendency to explode. However, the tech giant seems to be determined to banish the Note 7 to the past by making the Galaxy Note 8 all the more memorable for the right reasons. Critics have a few things to say about the Note 8.

Samsung has gone above what the ill-fated Note 7 was. Compared to Apple's latest releases, the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X, Samsung has won the race when it came to a nearly bezel-less design. Armed with a powerful Snapdragon 835 processor and 6 GB of RAM, the tech giant also made the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 just a bit faster and more capable of multitasking than the S8 and S8 Plus. Although they went with a smaller battery this time around, the Note 8 still managed to strike a perfect balance between power and phone life.

Meanwhile, NDTV took note of the fact that given the $930 price tag attached to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the battery life may be disappointing for some. However, Samsung definitely made up for it with the functionality, accuracy, and accessibility of the S Pen.

Considering that not many devices today feature the use of a stylus, Samsung made theirs with the mission to stand out above the rest. Critics agree that fans might want to buy the Galaxy Note 8 for the added benefits that the S Pen offers. No matter how Apple has refined their flagship devices, it would still be hard to beat the S Pen with the way it is now.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 definitely does not come cheap. However, if fans would like to take notes on the display of the smartphone's huge screen and experience the power of dual cameras, the Note 8 will not disappoint.
