Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2, JellyBean Update Screenshot Surfaces

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2, JellyBean update could be rolling out in the near future as a new screenshot has leaked revealing some regarding the software.

If this screenshot actually derived from a true update, than the Galaxy S3 could soon have some new exciting features such as Smart Scroll, which allows the user to scroll up and down on a page using nothing but their eyes.

This same feature will be one of the main selling points of the Galaxy S4, according to an article published in the New York Times this week.

The screenshots revealing the new update were originally appeared to be for the Galaxy S4, but were confirmed to be from a Galaxy S3 running Android 4.2.1.

They also reveal another feature for the Galaxy S3 update known as Smart pause. This will pause a video once the user looks away from their device. Both Smart pause and scroll utilize the smartphone's front camera to perform tasks.

Smart scroll might not be compatible with every application judging from the screenshot as the control screen for the feature gives the user the option of which apps to set it for.

This update will greatly improve a smartphone that has been a great success for Samsung. The company is rumored to be launching the Galaxy S3 in purple on Sprint as early as next month.

A leaked document surfaced on the internet this week and reveals the company's plans to carry a 16GB Purple version of the Samsung flagship smartphone. The Galaxy S4 will be unveiled later on this month; however, the Galaxy S3 is still a really impressive device sporting some powerful specifications.

The Galaxy S4 will be unveiled at the company's Mobile "Unpacked" event later this month.
