Samsung Galaxy S3, S2 Android 4.1, JellyBean Update Now in Testing Phase

The official Android 4.1, JellyBean update for the Samsung Galaxy S2, and S3 has entered into the testing phase, according to reports.

SamMobile reported that Samsung is almost ready to update the Galaxy S3 to Android 4.1, but has not yet announced the roll out date.

The site also stated that the company has started testing the software on the Galaxy S2 with great success. It is not clear whether or not Samsung will bring JellyBean to the S2, but if this information is correct, than the chances of it coming to the device are much higher.

According to SamMobile's source, Samsung will update the Galaxy S2 if the porting to Android 4.1, on the smartphone goes well.

There is no word on any other devices at this time, however, the site's sources stated that Samsung will update most of its high-end devices. This means there is a good chance that the Galaxy Note will receive the update as well.

Both the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note recently received the Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich update via Samsung Kies software. Devices that can handle 4.0 have little trouble adjusting to Google's latest build.

Samsung has made no recent statements regarding the roll outs for the Android 4.1, JellyBean updates for its devices.

However, the Samsung Galaxy S3 should receive the software within the next few months.

Android 4.1, JellyBean launched on the 7-inch Google Nexus tablet that was released earlier this month.

The tablet has quickly become one of the highest selling devices of the summer and introduces the new software's features that include a revamped notifications system, and the Siri competitor known as Google Now.

It also features a redesigned search experience with a new user interface and faster Voice Search.
