The final specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S4 were confirmed this week.

The popular South Korean site DDaily recently stated that Samsung has made a decision on the final specs for the device and that the company is ready to put it into mass production.

The Galaxy S4 will feature a "minimum organic" human-centered UI that debuted on the Galaxy S3. This means it will retain the trademark home button along with the Return key to the right and the Menu key to the left.

DDaily also shot down the rumors which pointed to Samsung implementing the S Pen into the Galaxy S4. However, the device will probably feature "non-contact gesture." The publication pointed out that many insiders have mistakenly said that this non-contact feature means there will be an S Pen, but that is not the case.

A recent report from AndroidAuthority stated that Samsung has selected Atmel's new maXTouch Series Touch for the Galaxy S4. This will provide users with superior performance, less power consumption, and the ability to operate the phone with gesture controls.

The Pantech Vega used similar technology in the past. The device's recognition technology was developed by eyesight mobile technologies and makes the front camera act as a sensor for gestures. However, this device ended up consuming too much power.

Other specifications for the Galaxy S4 include a 1.9GHz quad-core CPU, a 4.99-inch display with 1920x1080 resolution, Android 4.2.1, JellyBean, 2GB RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 release date could be as early as March 15.

Sam Mobile reported that a "trusted insider" revealed Samsung's plan to unveil the smartphone on March 15 at a special "Mobile Unpacked" event. Previous reports suggested that the company would choose a top secret location to unveil the device. This location is said to be somewhere in the U.S.
