The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to feature the company's new FHD sAMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

This new screen was unveiled by Samsung at this year's Consumer Electronics Show.

The FHD display measures in at 4.99-inches and has a 440ppi pixel density.

Samsung is expected to begin releasing smartphones with the new FHD displays in the first quarter of 2013, indicating that if the Galaxy S4 is going to feature the screen it will launch in the next few months.

Samsung also showed off a new device at the company's 2013 CES press conference that featured a YOUM flexible display.

The handset's YOUM flexible side curved display works as an extension to the UI, and enables the user to show horizontal content such as text, icons and important messages floating horizontally without the user opening or touching the phone.

The display on the smartphone measured in at 5 inches; however, there is no other information on its screen resolution or hardware specifications at this time.

Samsung announced that it will be releasing a whole line-up of flexible and bendable Galaxy smartphones under the YOUM branding in the near future.

One of these devices could end up being the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4.

Rumors of the handset featuring a flexible display have been circulating for quite some time. It is also expected to come with Samsung's new Octa-core processor.

The Korean electronics giant introduced the public to the Exynos 5 Octa 8-Core processor at CES. Samsung confirmed that this new processor will be featured on some of its upcoming products, which means it will also probably end up being used for the Galaxy S4.

Samsung believes that the processing power offered by this new chip will allow smartphone and tablet users to perform many tasks simultaneously, such as playing a game, watching an HD movie, and searching for a restaurant or business, all without lag.
