Samsung Galaxy S6 for an Early 2015 Release, Bigger Screen, Faster Processor and a Curved Screen

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is the successor to the South Korean tech giant's flagship series set to replace the Galaxy S5. There is not official announcement from Samsung yet regarding the release of the smartphone but there are speculations that it will launch early in 2015 in direct competition to Apple's iPhone 6.

While it's not out yet, there are already rumors and speculations about the design and specs of the next flagship smartphone. Only recently, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 4 have been unveiled with a new metal design. Most likely the Galaxy 6 will follow this construction scheme and will have a metal design of its own.

Unlike the Galaxy S5 which was somewhat of an update of the Galaxy S4, there are expectations for the Galaxy S6 to be a refresh for the flagship series with a stronger, more powerful processor and a higher definition display.

There have been rumors that the Galaxy S6 will be sporting a QHD display in direct competiton to LG's highly popular G3 smartphone which has a QHD display. While the display resolution gets an upgrade, it could be likely that the Galaxy S6 will get an increase in display size, going from the Galaxy S5's 5.1-inch screen to anything from 5.2-inches to 5.5-inches.

As for the specs, it is rumored to get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 chipset in order to accomodate the higher screen resolution. Among others, the S6 could be getting a 20-megapixel camera, a 3GB RAM and maybe up to 128GB of internal memory. There are also rumors of it getting a curved screen.
