Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date: AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile Accepting Pre-Registration

It has already been known that the much awaited Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge from Samsung are slated to be unveiled this coming March 1 at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. But when it comes to the date to when the smartphone will arrive in the shelves around the world, the information remains hazy and speculative.

A recent tech rumor from IBNLive indicated that the anticipated handsets might be shipped earlier in India sometime in the second week of April.

Citing their sources, the site claimed that the next-generation phones from the South Korean tech giant "will be up for pre-booking for a couple of weeks" starting from March before it hits the country's market in April.

Considering the previous global release of Samsung Galaxy S5 on April 11 to more than 150 countries, Phone Arena speculated that this might also be the case for the upcoming S6 and S6 Edge.

"We wouldn't bet our money on April 11, 2015, in particular, but the global release of the Galaxy S6 and probably the S6 Edge will likely take place in the same time period," Phone Arena wrote.

As for the U.S. markets, it has already been reported that carrier giants AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile have already started accepting pre-registrations for the devices.

As hinted, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with a 5.1-inch screen, a fingerprint sensor, 4GB of RAM, and a 20 MP primary camera.

Tech reports also stated that the phone will likely be launched in 3 different storage size variants: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
