Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Features Revealed Through Phone Case?

As the highly anticipated MWC 2015 nearly approaches, more and more rumors about the next Samsung flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6 surfaced the internet. A recent one pointed out to the size and the camera flash placement of the S5 successor which was inadvertently suggested by a phone casing.

A report from Techradar.com pointed out to a page listing by a phone accessory maker, Cush Cases, on Amazon. The listing indicated that the "high quality two piece heavy duty protection case" was specially made for the "Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone (2015 Release)."

"Inner TPU case wraps around the Samsung Galaxy S6 with a lip around the front edge of the glass," the item description further reads.

GSMArena.com meanwhile pointed out that the leaked image of the phone casing reveals a similarity to the Galaxy S5 Active case. The difference, however, lies in the different arrangement of the LED flash as well as the heart rate sensor.

From what used to be found underneath the camera lens, the flash is now located to the right of it. The reason, as pointed out by the tech review site was that for "ergonomic reasons."

"Make it easier to position your index finger over the HR sensor – or due to an internal redesign of the new phone," the site explained.

The casings, as advertised, are sold in various colors including a blue, red, violet, pink, white, and green variant.

Already available for pre orders, the cases will be released on Feb. 24.

Meanwhile, more official information about the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be found out March 2 at the MWC Barcelona.
